Thyme

Aromatic low-growing herb used in roasts, soups, and stews.

• Thyme is a perennial in Minnesota.

• Sunlight: Full sun (6+ hours daily).

• Soil: Well-drained, sandy or loamy soil.

• Transplanting: Plant gently at the same depth as in the pot.

• Watering: Allow soil to dry between waterings.

• Fertilization: Fertilize sparingly every 6–8 weeks with a low-nitrogen fertilizer (5-10-10).

• Other tips:

  • Harvest frequently to keep plant compact and flavorful. 

  • Divide clumps every few years to rejuvenate.
