I love growing plants, but I move too much to keep a garden. So a few years ago, I figured out a workaround: start everything from seed indoors, grow the seedlings up, and sell them to people who do have gardens. By the time I head north for the summer, my plants have found good homes and I've gotten my growing fix.
I've moved more than 20 times and have been a dentist, a military officer, and a hospitality entrepreneur along the way. The one constant is that I always end up outside with my hands in the dirt. It's just where I'm happiest.
Right now I work as a business operations consultant while bouncing between the north woods of Minnesota, the outskirts of LA, the Minneapolis suburbs, and the beaches of Florida. I'm also less than 5 feet tall so... the name kind of writes itself!
At The Roaming Gnome, my goal is to get outside and appreciate nature, and to help others do the same.
